On October 14, 2023, the inaugural ceremony for the establishment of the Software and Internet of Things Engineering School chapter of the Shanghai Alumni Association of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was grandly held at the Guangqi Building in Shanghai. Attendees includedQueShandong, a member of the university's Party Committee and Vice President, Ji Xiaogang, the Party Secretary of the Software and Internet of Things Engineering School, and also the Deputy Party Secretary, Kuang Lin, the Deputy Dean Luo Yuansheng, Zhang Lijiang, the President of the Shanghai Alumni Association, Chen Weikai, the Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Alumni Association, Yuan Hongyi, the President of the Information Chapter of the Shanghai Alumni Association, and Yao Feijun, the President of the Finance Chapter of the Shanghai Alumni Association. Representatives of the university's faculty, special guests, and alumni in Shanghai also attended theevent.

　QueShandong, during his speech, congratulated the establishment of the alumni chapter and highlighted the pivotal role of alumni in the university's development. He emphasized the alumni's significance as ambassadors and a source of continuous support, encouraging them to bridge student internships, faculty research, research collaborations, and alumni networking. He urged alumni to stand united and exemplify the excellence of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in the modernera.

　Ji Xiaogang expressed gratitude for the support and diligence of the Shanghai Alumni Association in his speech. He shared insights into the school's history, talent development, academic competitions, student employment, and alumni engagement. He saw the alumni chapter as a catalyst to strengthen the connection between the school and its alumni, fostering growth anddevelopment.

　On behalf of the Shanghai alumni, Zhang Lijiang welcomed the attending leaders, guests, and alumni. He introduced the situation of the Shanghai Alumni Association and outlined the expectations for the alumni chapter's work, emphasizing the importance of "compassion, enthusiasm, public spirit, perseverance, and service spirit," as well as the positioning of "strengthening alumni bonds, promoting career development, and passing down the culture of Jiangxi University of Finance andEconomics."

　Following Zhang Lijiang, Chen Weikai, the Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Alumni Association, read the approval document for the alumni chapter's establishment. Luo Zhenwei, the head of the alumni chapter's preparatory committee, presented a report on the preparations and proposed a list of candidates for approval at the meeting. Key figures awarded the alumni chapter's leadership team, marking the official establishment of the Software and Internet of Things Engineering Schoolchapter.

　In his inaugural speech, Luo Zhenwei affirmed the chapter's commitment to embodying the university's motto. The chapter's goals include enhancing its organization, attracting more alumni, and serving as a bridge between the school, businesses, and alumni. 　The Software and Internet of Things Engineering School chapter of the Shanghai Alumni Association is the first alumni chapter established by the school.
